School Nutrition Program Outreach

Dear Camden County Families:

We are excited to feed our students with the National School Breakfast, National School Lunch, and After School Snack Program. The Provision 2 Breakfast Program allows us to serve breakfast for free to all students! Eating school meals helps to provide funding for schools and can lower your grocery bill at home!

Breakfast is still free for ALL students in Camden County Schools.

The prices for lunch will be as follows: high school/ninth grade center $2.35, middle school $2.10, and elementary $1.95. Adults may purchase breakfast for $3.00 and lunch for $5.00. For those who love to pack your student’s lunch, we have a “lunch box buddy” option. Your child can get their cold milk or juice, farm fresh fruits or veggies, entrees to help complete their lunch from home.

We need all families to complete online by scanning the QR code or visiting this link: www.MySchoolApps.com.

One application counts for all children in the house. List all children.

Computers will be available at Open House or you can apply at home or on your phone.

Paper copies will be sent home once school starts. If you complete an online form, you do not need to submit another one. Just send in a note letting the school know you completed it already.

If you have questions regarding income information, or need help, call 912-729-8340.

If your child has any allergies, complete the Allergy Form and give it to the school nurse. A copy will go to the school nutrition manager so an alert can be placed in our system at check out.

Wellness Policy

Camden County Schools believes all students should possess the knowledge and skills necessary to make nutritious food and physical activity choices for a lifetime. We believe healthy children will have greater academic success and lifelong health. We also believe healthy staff can more effectively perform their assigned duties and model appropriate wellness behaviors for their students. This regulation encourages and promotes a coordinated effort that involves school staff, students, parents, and community members.

Our District has developed a Wellness Policy that is focused on improving the health of students. The policy was developed by the health and wellness advisory council that includes teachers, parents, administrators, and the district nurse.

One of our goals is to share the message of nutrition and wellness via our department's Web site that emphasizes the importance of nutrition AND fitness. Our site provides information on the nutrition and fitness for teachers, parents, and students, as well as, a variety of learning tools.
