MLG families- This is just a reminder to all of our parents who have RSVPD for our Donuts with Dad event that this event will take place tomorrow, 2/20 from 9:00am-9:30am. We have had such a wonderful response for this event that we are currently at capacity and are no longer able to accept any RSVPS.
Please arrive at 9:00am as this event will begin and end promptly.

We are now accepting MLG Field Day t-shirt orders! Order forms will be sent home with students, and you may also order online by visiting the My School Bucks website and checking out through the MLG store. Orders and payment are due by March 4, 2026.
Spring pictures will be held on Friday, February 27. Only students who have prepaid will be photographed. You can prepay by completing the form sent home with your child or by visiting www.leonards.com/photoprepay. The access code is C704604. All orders must be in by 7:00am on Friday, Feb. 27 in order for your child to be photographed.

We are excited to announce a new option for submitting notes related to student absences. Beginning Monday, parents and guardians may use the form at the link attached to submit student absence notes electronically. Excuses must be submitted within two days of returning to school.
This link will also be posted on our school website and Facebook pages for easy access. If you choose to use this option, you will not be required to send a physical note to the school.
We will continue to accept physical notes as usual—this new form is simply an additional option provided for your convenience.

Our Kindergarten and first-grade students had a wonderful time celebrating Black History Month with a special guest reader - Ms. Sharmaine Anderson! She is the chair of the Education Committee for the Camden NAACP and is always a joy to have in our school!
Through joyful stories and meaningful conversations, students explored the importance of kindness, courage, and the many voices that have shaped our history. Moments like these inspire curiosity, spark imagination, and remind us how powerful reading can be.

We are thrilled to share information about our upcoming Valentine's Day Dance! On February 12, students are invited to stay after school for the dance. Admission is $6 and includes a snack and a drink. Students must have a ride home from school when the dance ends at 4:30pm. If your child is interested in attending, please fill out the permission slip and return it to school by February 10.
Information about how to purchase Candy Grams is being sent home with students today. Orders will be accepted 2/9 - 2/11 and candy grams will be delivered on 2/12.

MLG’s Running Club is hosting a schoolwide Shoe Drive Fundraiser now through February 9, 2026! Students have been hard at work alongside Mrs. Walker, sorting donations and bagging pairs of shoes. Each pair collected helps raise funds for our running club, and all donated shoes will be repurposed to support individuals and families in need.
We are still accepting donations, so it’s the perfect time to clean out those closets! We welcome any size or style of clean, gently used, or new shoes. Donations may be dropped off in the front lobby of Mamie Lou Gross Elementary School.

Just a reminder that the due date for RSVPs for Donuts with Dad is today, 2/2. Please turn in your RSVP slip and money to the Front Office by the end of the day today, 2/2.
